Hi Marlene,
I attended your live review class in May at Moorhead, MS (Tara Lay was awesome!). I took only 75 questions on my NCLEX exam on 6/20/08, and I now have a license posted on my board of nursing's website. Thank you so much for everything. Your review class was dynamic. My test was EXACTLY like you described. (I could even hear your voice as I was taking the questions.) The tips and strategies that you taught are priceless. Words cannnot express my gratitude!! Thank you so much!!!

Hello Marlene,
Well here's another success story. I took your class with Scott on January 7-10, 2008 in Poplar Bluff, MO. I then took boards on Jan 18-2008. I PASSED - this was my third time taking it, and after spending money on other review classes, books with review questions, I had heard about Hurst review. I figured might as well take your class, and I am so glad I did. I don't think there was ANYTHING on boards that we didn't talk about in class. Scott was excellent, as well as your videos. The class was fun, upbeat, and went over the basics of everything that was needed to know. We reviewed information in your class that I didn't remember from school, if we even discussed it, though I'm sure we did. I can't express how greatful I am, and how thankful I am that I took your class and passed. I honestly believe I wouldn't have been able to have passed it without your class. I WILL recommend this class to EVERYONE I know. If there is anything ya'll need from me, anything at all, from another instructor to someone for marketing, please feel free to call upon me. I believe that I owe you guys my life. I am so excited about how much this helped me that I would love to be a part of that, and help other people like me, who think it is hopeless and will never pass. I want them to know there IS hope, and this class is THE answer. Please post this on your testimonials. Sincerely, Amanda U.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the review, learned from it, applied it, and PASSED the 1st time. I think it helped me by attending the first review while I was still in school. I was better able to understand the high acuity portion of my last semester. Then when I took it again (for free, thank you!), I was able to listen to the live instructor and the videos and process it all better. I think you do a fantastic job of preparing us, and I am encouraging all nursing students that I meet to take the review as early in their school career as they can. It can only help them in their studies during school, and I believe they will have no doubts then when it is time to take their NCLEX! I am now going to be stationed at Eglin AFB, FL as a 2nd Lieutenant Nurse for the U. S. Air Force. Thank you again for your review! God bless you in your continued endeavors to help us all succeed!

I would like to say "Thank You" to Marcia and Carole for their tremendous encouragement and motivation for the repeat NCLEX test takers. They called frequently to check up on me and assisted me with my tutoring sessions. I studied the way they said and passed the second time with 75 questions. If I can give advice to anyone---Try to postpone planning weddings or major events until after boards and study hard the first time. When you fail, you feel stupid, alone, and incompetent. Just remember, anyone who can pass nursing school can pass boards, but you must first believe that you can achieve it! Mrs. C. Rhodes
Hurst Review Staff,

I wanted to say thank you for all your help on passing boards. I took the Hurst Review live and thought it was great. However, I think that I was trying to memorize everything and needless to say, I did not pass the first time. I called your office and received the packet of remedial information. I did exactly what you said to do , and this time I truly learned the information. I did not take the test until I could talk about everything and this time I passed! I kept hearing your voice in my head with every question. I had all 265 questions, but I kept thinking I still had a chance. Anyway, I am glad to get that over with, and I could not have done it without HURST REVIEW.

Thanks,
Debbie D.
I was lost in the world of NCLEX darkness 'till I saw a shining light, the Hurst NCLEX Review, and followed it to get out of the darkness that I was in. Before the Hurst Review, I was totally confused and worried about the NCLEX review because it stood in the way of my nursng career. I had no idea on how to prepare for it and was actually planning to just re-read my entire medical surgical textbook to prepare for it!!! The lectures were fun and the material was to the point. I followed all of the advice and passed the NCLEX on just 75 questions. The Hurst Review told us not to be over-confident about the test, but after following the recommendations provided and studying like I was told to, I actually thought the NCLEX was pretty easy. Thank you Hurst Review for your wonderful program. I will be recommending this program to everyone that I know. The cost is a bargain compared to what is at stake, a NURSING CAREER.

Thanks,
Sam Obgartel, RN
Dear Marlene,

I recently took your review course in New Orleans and am pleased to tell you that I passed my state board exam! My exam was 75 questions and I was able to complete it in 84 minutes. This is from someone who took the exam six months ago and was UNABLE to complete it in the time limit.

This means so much to my wife and I that I have to tell you a little of the story behind this accomplishment. I am 37 years old and decided to become a nurse during my last semester of management school. I finished my degree in management and went to CPN school because there was a two-year wait for Charity School of Nursing. I worked as a school teacher and a nursing assistant while in CPN school. When clinicals came around, I had to quit teaching and sell my beloved '68 Mustang Convertible. Big sacrifice! Anyway, I finished and decided to do the Regents/Excelsior program while working as a CPN. The last five years have been mostly work and study but it has been worth the effort. Today my supervisor offered me a charge nurse position, which DOUBLED my hourly rate! Thank you so much, Marlene, for the course and the steps I needed to pass the boards.

Marlene, I'd like to give some advice to your students in future courses. LISTEN. JUST LISTEN! This lady knows what she is doing and does it well. Follow each step as she instructs, practice what she teaches, use her study materials, and you will be successful. Thanks again, Marlene.

Sincerely,
Ronnie B.
Dear Mrs. Hurst,

Thanks to you, I passed! My test cut off at 75 questions, but I still came out of the testing center with no feeling of having passed or failed - I was sort of numb. The only indication I had was that I remember having many more hard questions than easy ones, which you said was a good thing. I studied the way you told us to, and it worked.

Your review was quite enjoyable. Your use of humor really helped. You presented the information in a way that really helped me to sort it all out. There were things you taught that I had never heard the entire time in school (for example, I never knew calcium and magnesium act as sedatives). But anyway, school is a thing of the past (finally), and I am enjoying a rewarding career as an oncology. It simply feels like I am finally able to do what God put me on this Earth for, and you played an important part in that.

Thank you so much again for doing what you do. May God bless you so that you may continue to empower others to achieve their goals and make a difference in the lives of their patients.

Sincerely,
Clay E.
Mrs. Marlene Hurst,
You are truly awesome! God has allowed you to meet your destiny by blessing you with the spiritual gift of test taking. I have attempted to take the NCLEX® examination exam six times. It was not until I took your course that I fully understood the information I was reviewing and how to apply it to answering NCLEX® examination-style test questions. I had just about given up on nursing before this, but I decided to listen to God and take the NCLEX® examination one more time so that I could walk into my destiny. Praise God, I did! I answered 265 questions without FEAR! Thank you God! Thank you Marlene, you are an angel. You shall always be blessed!

P.S. - I wrote you this thank you card before I received my results; in fact I was in San Diego on business. When I got home late Friday night, there was my little white license!
Dear Marlene,
I PASSED!!!!! Thank you for helping and giving me the knowledge to pass boards. Your class really helped me. I had taken boards twice prior to taking your class, and after taking your class I took boards a third time and passed without any trouble. Of course I was nervous, but your advice really helped. I had 205 questions and felt good about them.

Thank you,
Shalondia W.
I would like to let Aunt Marlene know that I have finally passed my boards... This was my fourth time to take them... I think what helped me a lot was you allowing me to use your Internet access and all the paperwork that you sent me in the mail... I re-listened to all the lectures and I know that it really made a difference... And I knew my packet really good... Thank you so much for allowing me to use your services until I passed... Thank you again...

Amie S.
Dear Marlene,

Well I just wanted to let you and your staff know that I DID PASS... I want to thank you for your time, energy, and your love for nursing students to pass state boards. You are great. Keep up the wonderful work.

Thanks again,
Patricia L.
I just wanted to thank you for helping me to study for the NCLEX® examination. I found out to today that I passed!!! Thank you for support, words of encouragement, and your expertise. This has been a long hard, heart breaking struggle, but by the grace of GOD I have passed. I have two friends in nursing school at this time, and I will be passing the word about your review course. Thank you so so so much.

Sincerely,
Trechell, Harvey, LA
Marlene,

I attended your review in Mobile, AL a few months ago. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the review and how much it helped. I was so scared of taking the NCLEX® examination. The closer the test date got here, the more nervous I got. Just so happens the week before my test I came down with bronchitis. The morning I woke for my test I had a 102 temp. I just knew I was going to fail it. I went in, took 75 questions in 45 minutes, and it was over. The next day my nervousness got worse. I realized I kept taking the same kind of questions over and over again, which made me think that I must have been missing them if I kept getting the same kind. They were questions about priority, which part would you see first, or home health with the same choices. I don't think I have ever been so relieved to call and hear the words, "Your License is good until 2004". Within the next few days my certificate came in the mail.

I fully support your review and will keep recommending it to nursing students. Thanks for you help.

I just wanted to say Thank You so much for helping me pass the NCLEX® examination. Listening to you during the review class in May and reviewing your lectures online these past several months helped me pass the hardest test I have ever taken in my life. And I had to take it twice. I don't think I would have been able to accomplish my goal of passing without your help and the help of your staff. Thank you so much again for everything you do.

This email is coming to you a little late but I just wanted to let you know that I have passed the NCLEX® examination. I originally graduated December 2002 and took your review course in December in Baton Rouge, LA. When I took the NCLEX® examination for the first time, I never really reviewed your course material, although I thought it was great, because others had told me that the NCLEX® examination was not that hard. Well, I failed and the hospital I worked for paid for me to take another company's review course. I went to it and it was horrible and not helpful at all. I felt the staff was simply reading to me from a book; it was boring and it was nothing I couldn't have done on my own. That is when I contacted you and took the remedial course online and really reviewed the material thoroughly. For the first time I felt like I really learned and understood so many things that never even clicked in nursing school. When I took the NCLEX® examination the second time I passed it in 75 questions. I am so thankful to your course and all the help and encouragement I received from you.

Thank you,
Amanda

Dear Marlene,
I am writing to inform you that I passed the NCLEX® examination. After I attempted the first time and did not pass, I got discouraged a little. This time I received 265 questions and finished in four hours. I actually felt pretty good after I came out of the testing center. I felt that the material you gave me helped me a lot, and I felt confident about passing boards.

Thanks to my God above, and your ability to teach, I passed my boards the second time. I want to thank you for allowing me to review, allowing me to use your online review, and for giving me the study materials.

I wish you all the luck in the world, and please continue to shine your light on other nursing students by teaching them the real way to pass state boards.

N. Trotter
I wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that I PASSED!!! I reviewed the material as you had suggested with several friends who also attended the review and we "talked" the core content just as you had in lecture. I felt like your review saved me a lot of unnecessary time and energy wasted on trying to review all of my nursing notes I had taken in school. I believe that I would have tried to do that, had it not been for your review. I had 76 questions, many of them being leadership and management questions concerning room assignments and who I would choose to assess first. I remembered that being in that level of questions was a good sign that I probably did fine, although just like everyone else I too felt it could have gone either way and wasn't quite sure I had passed.

I called one week later and heard my last name with my license number and breathed a big sigh of relief. I have since recommended your review to all of the people I know graduating in May - I believe it was an important part of my road to success in becoming a real RN.

Thank you so much for all you do and the way you do it - it truly does make a difference.

KC S.
I attended your review at Southeastern in Baton Rouge last month. I wanted to let you know I passed the NCLEX® examination thanks to you! Your review was so awesome. You really did give me a great foundation to study from, and for that matter, to use in practicing nursing during my career! It seemed every question on my test was about which patient you would go see first or it was about patient education - what you would teach the patient. Your content was right on - no more, no less. You really have a gift and I thank you for sharing it with me!

Dear Marlene,

I wanted to email you about your review class that I attended in Memphis in January 2003. I took the NCLEX® examination in February, and I am now an official registered nurse. Thanks for preparing me for this very crucial exam. I, like many other graduates, thought I failed this exam. I only received 75 questions and began hyperventilating all the way to the car. When I gathered my composure, I drove myself to eat lunch. I called every family member that I could and freaked out on them. I was a nervous wreck the entire week afterwards. When it was time to call for results, I took a deep breath and called. To much wanted relief, I was given a license number. So you can add my story to the typical reaction to this test with another RN at the end. Thanks for everything. I would recommend your class to any new nursing graduate. You definitely prepared me for this test - look at the results. Thanks, Marlene.

Mrs. Marlene,

Just wanted to let you know I found out exactly seven days after taking boards that I passed! Yes, that's right, I passed! I received my license in the mail on Feb. 26, 2003. I told my husband I would probably sleep with it under my pillow! Thanks again for all your time, dedication and help. Because without you, I know I couldn't have done it on my own!

Michelle R.
I passed! I took the NCLEX® examination Wednesday and on Saturday I received my license in the mail. I was amazed that I got the results so soon, not to mention having my license this quick. We had gone out of town Saturday and did not get back home until around 10 pm that night, and there it was waiting for me in the mail. I was scared to death to open it up. The envelope seemed too thick; I just knew that they were sending me another application. I just held it for a while until my husband said, "Open it. What are you waiting for?" We were all so excited. Thank you so much for the help you gave in the review. It helped me narrow down what to study and the lab values you told us to learn helped me a great deal. I did study the way you said and went over all of the material you gave us. I really enjoyed your sense of humor. It was amazing at how well you knew us. Thanks again.

Teresa
Marlene,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say hello and pass on the fantastic news that I passed my boards on the first try (and in 75 questions!). I attended your five-day review at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile at the end of December. I enjoyed everything about the class, and I attribute much of my success on boards to your class. I would have been one of those people who thought, "I did well in school; I think I'll just wing it." I am so glad you made me recognize my weaknesses! Thanks again. I have told every undergraduate I know to seek out one of your classes. It was worth every bit of time and money I spent on it!

Hey Marlene,

I got my results in the mail and I passed. It took less than 2 weeks for my license to even come in the mail. I tested on Jan. 23, and received it on Feb. 4. Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement. I would advise anyone to take your course. Whenever you have a good clinical instructor in school, sometimes you want to cry when you know you have to move on. In this case, I wanted to cry after one week of having you and having to move on because you were so wonderful. Thank you so much and God bless you.

Marlene,

I am writing you to say thanks for such a great class in Kenner this year in January! I studied just as you said and used the great test-taking strategies that you taught. It was just as you said it would be. I only had 75 questions and was successful in passing my NCLEX® examination on the first try! I have already started telling a lot of my friends who will be graduating this spring from LSU about your class, and I have highly recommended it to everyone. Maybe we can get you here in Alexandria one day. Anyway, thanks again for the wonderful class and many laughs that you gave all of us who attended from Alexandria. If I had to give anyone advice about taking the NCLEX® examination, I would tell them to attend the class, study as you say, and you will pass! Thanks again and keep up the great job!

John B.
I took your review class in December at Mobile Infirmary. I want to let you know that I have passed the NCLEX® examination-RN. I only took 75 questions and passed the first time! Thank you!

Dear Marlene,

I attended your class in New Orleans. I wanted to let you know that I took my boards and passed them. I also wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your review. Keep up the excellent work that you do! I have told so many people how much I enjoyed your review. It was definitely a "put it all together concept course." Anyway, thank you again for such a wonderful review.

Kara K.
Hi, Marlene. I am happy to tell you that I passed my boards the first time with 75 questions. I took your review in Jackson, MS the week of Jan. 20-24. Thank you for all of your support and quizzing me after class to make sure that I was studying the correct way.

Adrienne S.
I think I forgot what it feels like to live a "tension free" life. It feels like one million pounds have been lifted off my shoulders. You are the one I need to be thanking. Thanks for all of your help!

Melissa S.
Hello Marlene,

I just had to tell you that I passed boards on the 14th of March and I really believe that attending your review was the reason. With the concept you use in reviewing the material that is crammed into us in four semesters, some of it's hard to remember. I, like everyone else, believe I went to the most difficult school and did well with my grades, but I truly believe that without taking your review I wouldn't have passed the boards (at least the first time). I recommend everyone attend your review before the boards. Also I attended the lab you offer in your office, and it gave me a chance to test in a controlled environment rather than just at home. It gave me a sense of what to be prepared for when I arrive at the test center. Thanks for having that available. Thanks again for everything!

Toni M.
Marlene,

Yes! The computer cut off at about the 75th or 76th question. Thanks for your help. The review was very helpful. I was very worried because I did not have a traditional nursing teacher. I think I would have been more confident if I would have been able to take boards a week or two after your review. Your review made a difference. Thanks again. Keep teaching. You have a great personality. Too bad all nursing instructors aren't a replica of you.

Althea L.
Marlene,

I have been taking your online review. I took state boards once again and I passed it. This had been my third time taking boards for LVN! I was so confident about taking this test that I didn't even pay too much attention to how many questions I was taking. I just know it had to have been 85, because I remember seeing 69 the only time I looked and shortly after that it went off. I loved your online review, it is just so helpful. I didn't have your review for a very long time before taking boards again. I printed off the notes and copied them at least three times. I went through the review a total of three times, taking notes each time as you lectured. Thank you for everything - your review really helped! I would recommend anyone who is going through the ordeal of taking the NCLEX® examination to go through your review. If anyone is not able to attend the live review, your online review is the way to go. I can't really express the way I feel right now, I just want you to know that becoming a nurse is what I was determined to become, and thanks to you I am! I remember when taking boards the first time and when I found out I failed, it tore me up. I wanted to give up, but I went again, and I did worse. At this point I had already experienced both taking all the questions and the computer shutting off at a certain number. After taking your online review, I was more confident, and I wasn't scared of the exam. So I will let future nurses know how strongly I recommend your review. I really am lost for words because I am so happy, excited, and very emotional because I finally did it! I just want to say may God bless you always for taking the time to help others accomplish their dreams! I will never be able to thank you enough!

Luz Ann M.
I just wanted to say that this Hurst Review was wonderful. I took the live review in December and did the online review in March. I took the NCLEX® examination around March 21, and it had 75 questions. And one week later my license came in the mail. My mother had taken this review a couple years ago and she passed the first time, also. Thanks for such a wonderful job in your presentation and helping me understand. Most of my exam was focused on priority/management, some peds and maternity. If I had not taken this review I don't believe I would have done my best on the test.

Connie S.
Marlene,

Thank you so much for your program! It helped me and you helped me to pass boards and become an RN. I am currently waiting to start a position in the ICU at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN.

I took your course back in May at the University of Memphis. I remembered EVERYTHING during the test. I studied a little every day to keep things fresh and could always hear your funny voice reminding me, "Never tell the test people you are going to do nothing!"

Thank you again!
Stephanie S.

Hi Marlene,

I wanted to send a quick THANK YOU! I attended your review in Memphis on Jan. 5-8, took the NCLEX exam on Jan. 12, and was notified last week that I passed. Yeah!

I wanted to address two specific areas of thanks to you:

1. Your review was awesome. Your test-taking tips were so helpful...having the dialogues regarding "What should I worry about with this patient?" helped me the most because the majority of my NCLEX exam questions dealt with prioritizing patients. I could hear your voice helping me navigate through those questions and spotting the tricks in other questions. So, when the computer cut off after 75 questions I was elated. I didn't feel like I had been blown away. I was ready and I felt like I had blown that test away - I honestly believe that I got close to 100%.

2. We learned so much in nursing school, but when I graduated I didn't feel like a nurse. However, when I finished your course I felt like hundreds of light bulbs had gone off in my head - it all makes sense now! I feel like a competent new nurse. I appreciate your help in passing the NCLEX examination, but even more so I thank you for helping to pull it all together. Since I've been working there have been several situations that have come up that I understand and I'm prepared to deal with because of being in your course. You are doing a great service to new grads by taking a step back and looking at the big picture view of the patient.

I've told many of my friends still in school to be sure and take your course. A lot of people in Memphis are looking forward to seeing you when they graduate.

Thanks again,
Karen S.
Mrs. Hurst, I took your review in Memphis, Tn. Jan. 5-8th. I took my NCLEX on Feb. 2 and passed . I wanted to personally thank you, and let you know that it was one of the most horrific experiences of my life. I know you preached to us how we would feel after the test, but I don't think any words does that feeling any justice....lol. I was so blessed to have 265 questions (a little sarcasm), but I think #75 will put you into cardiac arrest...lol. I know it took me 2 or 3 mins to click the mouse. I wanted it to shut off and then again I didn't. Of all the bad things that could go wrong- it did. At question #136, the LIGHTS BLACKED OUT. Not for 2 or even 5 mins. Let's talk about 30-40 mins. I asked God was this a sign that I was doing terribly bad. When the test was finally over, it took me 10 mins to realize that I had to start the car in order to leave...lol. And the week following wasn't any better. I think I have jet-lag and an electrolyte imbalance from lack of sleep and going to the bathroom(nervous stomach). I know the post office people thought I was crazy last Friday and Sat. because I went in there checking the box every 5 mins as if something would change. I think this test could cause PTSD...LOL! This was my experience. But I would like to tell you that you are one of God's Angels, and you are here for a purpose. God has blessed you with a great gift to help others.

Thank you, I Love You
God Bless You Always
LaKeshaT.
Hi Marlene,

Though you may not know me by face or name, i had taken your on-line review as a preparatory class for my NCLEX exam. I had thought that i would be missing out having not taken your live review and i certainly didn't have enough money to pay for a live review fresh out of school. I am happy to say that I was mistaken. I don't believe that i had sacrificed a single thing having had the on-line review. I would work at the hospital, then come home and complete a unit or two before bed. it was completely self paced, and I didn't have to miss days from my new job in order to study. I was sitting there taking my exam thinking to myself "she said I want to be in the upper level questions, what was she thinking? These are hard! Ok, what am I worried about with this patient?" And then when my computer shut off after only 81 questions i had felt as though i were on my first day of nursing school all over again. A complete nursing dunce. I couldn't remember a single question that I had taken, I was barely even sure of my name at that point. That was on February 6th, 2004. When I looked up my test results online 2 days later, i held my breath as i waited for the screen to pop up....I read down and then at the bottom it read PASS!!! Thank you so much for your flexibility with providing the online review. It affords someone who hasn't the time nor the money to sit in the classroom for a week for a review an invaluable tool for success. Thanks again.

Mrs. Marlene,

I just wanted to say a big "Thank you" for your wonderful review and personality. I attended your review in Hattiesburg the week before Christmas. When I went up to you one day after class, you said, "Girl, I am gonna make a believer out of you!" And you did just what you said!

I bet I read and thought out your manual a hundred times. No joke. Then I watched your video over and over, answered your questions over and over, watched your review online two weeks before I took my boards, and answered around 2,000 questions in other NCLEX test prep books. I would apply my knowledge that I had learned through your self-study guide. I would find myself getting more and more right, which was steadily increasing my self-esteem. I would even answer other nurses' questions for them at work. After I would answer them, I would tell myself, "Go me. Go me!"

You were so right when you said you have to learn the material before you answer the questions. Another prep program had taught me another way - the two times before.

I took all 265 questions again, for the third time, and when I left there I had a peace about me. I felt so confident. I would not have known 20 questions if it had not of been for your self-study guide. When I got back to my car, I would look up questions that I had remembered. I gained more and more self confidence because as I was looking them up, I found myself getting them right, which really made me feel good. I recommend your program to anyone I see who is in nursing school and close to graduation.

Thanks again for your awesome personality, review, encouraging me, and most of all for believing in me. Keep on shining. You are truly the best. I wish I had that song by Tina Turner, "Simply the Best," because if I did, I would send it to you.

Thanks again - you are "Simply the Best - Better than all the rest!"

Marlene,

I took the boards again on May 6 and the computer cut off at question 75 or 76 (whatever is the bottom number), and I was only around one and a half hours into the test. In fact I was looking at the number and my time, thinking, "Well I can go to the bathroom and take a break in 30 minutes, and I'm OK with the number I'm on so I will be able to do all 265 this time without a problem for time." Then the computer cut off and I lost my breath. My first thought was, "Well, I either bombed it or I aced it." I felt my head was clearer than the first time and I was able to pick out questions using your tactics about what to look for in the answer, plus all the core material you helped me obtain. I felt good but I just didn't want to let myself feel too good until I knew the real results. Well the Louisiana state board of nursing had my results posted by 3 p.m. the next afternoon and it said "RN status." I printed it up three times for proof because I just couldn't believe it. I gave one of the copies to my mom in her Mother's Day card. I only had one of the new types of questions, and it was easy. I was an ortho nurse for three years and for some reason this test had a lot of ortho so I really lucked out in that aspect. But I know the greatest help of all was you and your team at Hurst Review, sending me info and calling to check on me and let me know you were there. Knowing I had someone to turn to was the biggest comfort and help of all. And by the way, the recording of the questions and answers was the most incredible way to study. It helped me to learn the material the most. I cannot say "Thank you" enough for all you've done. I wanted to call and thank you in person on the phone, but I've really been working overtime since I got back from the test. I have a lot of people I work with in RN school and I have been telling them how wonderful your review is and how to get to your website for information on reviews. I will always recommend you highly for future students.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING,
Bonita B.
Hi! I wanted to let you know that I passed - what a load off! Your seminar was excellent; I really needed the refresher. I am proof that you can pass or fail at 265 questions. I kept telling myself though (just like you said to) "I haven't failed yet." I will refer you to all of my friends. Thank you so much!

Marlene,

I recently took the NCLEX examination after reviewing your online review for one week. I was told on April 1 the NCLEX test will be changing, and it scared me. I immediately enrolled in your online review and you became my buddy for one solid week. I took the NCLEX on March 31, the day before the test changed and I ran out of time. I realized after question 180 that I was chosen to take the whole test. But I stayed calm like you stated on the review, and I took my time even though I knew my time was limited. I answered each question like it was the first one. After the test, I felt very bad. I sat in front of the computer a total of five hours without taking advantage of the breaks that were offered. On the way home I did not feel anxious or scared because you stated that no one ever feels as though they passed. So, I felt with those words I still had a fighting chance. Two days later I received my results - and as you said if you follow me you will get a license in the mail. And that, Marlene, I did. Thanks to you and all that you do.

Hey Mrs. Marlene,

Just wanted to let you know that I took my NCLEX examination on May 13, and I PASSED! I was notified over that weekend and my license was waiting for me in the mail. I know that I couldn't have done it without the help of your review course and your staff. The online review is great; it really brought everything together for me! It made things "click" and make sense - in ways that I never had thought of before. I will continue to use the online review content as a means of reference material. I have gained so much by taking your review course. I will tell everyone that if they are looking for a review course, Hurst Review is the course to take! You were so right, Marlene; the NCLEX doesn't have to be hard, you just have to approach it in the right way. And Hurst Review does that for you. Before this course, I didn't have a clue as to where to start studying for this exam, but Marlene came to the rescue!

Thanks,
Kelly B.
Marlene,

Thank you so much for what you do and for the excellence with which
you do it! Your review was definitely the highlight of my entire BSN program and was evidently quite effective as well. I took my boards on the 17th of June and passed!

You were so right about every aspect of the testing process, too.
Even though I did very well in nursing school and considered myself
adequately prepared for whatever "those old NCLEX" people could throw at me, the actual test questions threw me for a loop. Had I not been fortunate enough to attend your live review, I might have let the magnitude of the difficult questions shake my confidence to the point of flying into a panic and making careless errors. Instead, I tried to "channel" my inner Marlene and to think critically as I considered each possible answer. It was like in the old Saturday morning cartoons of my youth... a miniature Marlene angel sitting on my shoulder saying.... "Now don't pick that - it would be MEAN."

Thankfully, it was over quickly enough and the computer shut off after 75 questions, just as you said it would.

You can rest assured that I will recommend Hurst Review Services to
every student nurse that I encounter during my career. You are the best and I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done to help us.

Best regards,
Robert W.
Marlene,

I attended the live review in Memphis, TN and loved it! I found the entire course very entertaining and informative; also, I was so excited to have all of the separate systems / topics that I had learned in nursing school put together in a way that would be more beneficial than I realized. After the review course, I returned to work, and was amazed at the number of times each day I found myself using the information that I had learned at Hurst Review. I will and have recommended Hurst Review to anyone who will be taking the NCLEX. I really want to thank you for the service that you provide to nursing students; no one could imagine just how helpful this course is without experiencing it.

FYI - There were 23 graduates in my nursing class from Dyersburg State Community College in Dyersburg, TN; our instructors recommended Hurst Review and encouraged everyone to attend a review course. Of the 23 graduates, 21 attended Hurst review; 20 have taken the NCLEX and 19 have passed. Again, thank you for helping me pass and for helping me understand many difficult concepts that I have struggled with throughout nursing school.

Sincerely,
Carol R.
Marlene,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't thank you enough for all you've done for me. Your review, I really feel in my heart, is what got me through boards. In a previous e-mail I told you how stressed I was about taking boards. I kept hearing your voice in my head while I was taking the test - you know all your tips to help us get more right than wrong and I know that was a big part of my success in taking boards. I received my license in the mail on June 29, 2004. I was so amazed. Anyway thank you so much for all you do for people and all you have done for me. I thank God first of all and I thank you because your voice was with me as I tested. Now I will move on and work carefully, professionally, competently, efficiently, and safely to take care as many people as I can. God's many continued blessings, Marlene. And once again thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be recommending Hurst Review Services to my friends that are still working on their ADN nursing degree.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth C.
Dear Marlene,

We just wanted to take some time to tell you that your review was great! We attended your review in Thibodaux, LA. We just recently took our boards last week, and we all passed. When we got out of our test we all just knew that we had failed, but we remembered your words of wisdom that "everybody feels that way." After studying your content, everything just fell together. We just wanted to thank you very much for a great review. It was well worth the drive and we have recommended you to future graduates of Northwestern State University in Shreveport, LA.

Thanks again,

Jennifer C., Amber O., Kristin B., Allen G., Luke R.
Marlene,

I just wanted to thank you for the amazing NCLEX examination review. I attended your review and for the first time I never looked at my watch during a lecture. You had my full attention and you made the lecture so interesting that it was fun! I appreciate everything that you did for me. I took the NCLEX for the first time months later after the review and I studied exactly like you told me to. I took 75 questions and passed with flying colors. Unfortunately, I had three friends that went to nursing school with me that took all 265 questions, and all three failed the NCLEX exam. I told them about your review and they all booked a lecture with you. Each one of them took 75 questions the second time and passed. My friends and I thank you for everything.
