I FINALLY passed NCLEX last week! I hadn't posted my sucess story because we are still celebrating!! I graduated nursing school in 2010, took the NCLEX 9 times!! Ouch, yes! Lots of money and lots of emotions! It was all in God's timing though. I prayed for over a year for when to take it again, he gave me the go ahead so I signed up for Hurst Revew! I have taken ATI, Kaplan, NCSBN and Hurst Review and used too many books to talk about. This is the first time I did Hurst Review to its entirety!! Do exactly what Aunt Marlene and her wonderful instructors say and you will be successful also! Don't skip one step of hers! Print out the study guide and the Testing Strategies pages, I ready those daily and checked the study guide off as I went along. I have been out of school for a while so I had to do a few of her steps multiple times until I could lecture out loud using skimpy notes. Her study plan works if you don't skip one step!!! Just pray and be ready to put the time in! I am a wife, a mother and I work full time! My husband is wonderful support! Make you a study plan and stick too it! It does take a lot of time to do but it's worth it!!! If i did this have being out of school for 5 years, you can too!! Trust Aunt Marlene! Do exactly what she says and you will be successful also! I love Hurst Review!! Just Do IT!!!!!! =) =) THANK YOU AUNT MARLENE AND THE HURST INSTRUCTORS!! YOU ALL ARE WONDERFUL!!!Jennifer D Mixon RN
Just want to pass some good news on to the staff at Hurst and say a very heart-felt thank you. I graduated from nursing school in May 2013 and felt that I really hadn't learned a whole lot. Part of our exit process was to take the NCLEX review presented by ATI. I walked out of their live review and thought to myself, "What a waste of time that was!". I took the NCLEX the first time a few months later and failed. I studied for 9 months on my own, took the test again, and again failed. After failing the second time I realized that I had to do something totally different or I never would pass the NCLEX. That is when I contacted Hurst. I got the online review and started going through the package in January (2015). My plan was to take the test in late March or early April. Well, I procrastinated getting my paperwork in to the state and finally wound up taking the test this past Tuesday (May 19, 2015). Last night (May 20th) I got notice from the state that I am now a Registered Professional Nurse!!!! The thing that I found outstanding about the Hurst Review is the down-to-earth way they present the information. The absolute turning point for me was the way they taught me to quit trying to memorize facts, and start critically thinking about how everything related. This critical thinking process was earth shattering when I started to apply it! My background is in engineering where A + B is always equal to C. Nursing has been hard for me to adjust to because here A + B might equal C, or D, or M, or X. Oh, by the way, I celebrated my 63rd birthday on Monday before taking the test on Tuesday! Who said an old dog can't learn new tricks? Once again, Thank you Aunt Marlene and all of your crew!Bill Bond, RN
I just got my results today and I passed, 1st time and Hurst Review was a huge part of it. I have been cursed by having both Dyslexia and ADD and I have to work very hard to do well in school. Aunt Marlene said passing the NCLEX is not a test anxiety issue it is a knowledge deficit problem, she is right. How do I know, because I have test anxiety 100 on a 10 scale, but with Hurst I felt confident in my ability to pass. I took the live review and was blown away about how the information was condensed, easy to understand and how the plan to pass this beast of a test was laid out in front of me; all I had to do was study this and I was home free. I used concepts and learned the material, and a bonus the book was half the size of other reviews. It works. Highly recommended!Eric Lange, RN South College, Ashville North Carolina
I took the Hurst Review and passed the NCLEX on the first try! The NCLEX has recently come to Canada and our programs and instructors were unsure of how to prepare us. The Hurst Review provided me with all the info I needed on a silver platter. Don't get me wrong, I had to work had and study tons, but if it wasn't for Hurst, I don't think I could have done it. Thanks again!Andrea Etheridge, Polytechnic University, Surrey, B.C.
I just would like to let Hurst know, I took the online review, I did everything it said to do. I loved the lectures and the extra documents. I took the NCLEX for the first time and passed in 80 questions using the content I learned, the critical thinking skills, and the testing strategies!! It was amazing! I thought we had a great program and that they have us the content we needed. Our school recommends Kaplan to us but I was really concerned about the content I didn't know. Regardless if we had covered it or not, I still didn't get it. I did great in clinical (naturally) and I did OKAY in school. I was so nervous about NCLEX I chose Hurst for the review. Against what my school was suggesting. I'm writing to let you know, I have only heard of three people from my class passing. All the people who took Kaplan have failed!! (That I have heard of). Everyone from my class is writing me, trying to find out what I did to pass. They know I wasn't strong on content! I told them I took Hurst and learned more from you guys (finally understand) than I did in two years of nursing school!!! I am recommending Hurst to everyone that contacts me explaining exactly what I have just said. I am so thankful for what you guys do!!! I loved it!!! I want to repeat myself but I hope you get it!! Anyway, I really want you guys recommended over Kaplan!! It was so good!! Worth every penny!! Thank you so much!! I am spreading the word!!! Expect more business!! :) An advocate for Hurst,Allison Giusti, RN
THANK YOU HURST REVIEW!!! You have truly been an amazing GOD send! I graduated from nursing school with my LPN back in 2006 and never pursued my RN after that. I got a job working in an eye clinic and therefore let my nursing skills lapse. Several years later I decided it was time to go back to school to get my RN/BSN. I Joined a nursing program that offered an LPN/BSN option. I graduated in March of 2013 and took my first attempt at the NCLEX in April which I failed getting all 265 questions. So I signed up for Kaplan and tried again in July. My second attempt I got 79 questions and failed. I gave Kaplan another shot. My 3rd attempt was in October, I ran out of time with 217 questions failing again. I was absolutely devastated, my self confidence completely crushed. I just didn't know what else to try. But basically I came to the conclusion that what I needed what a refresher of all the core content that I had learned back in nursing school. My husband is that one that actually did the research and found the Hurst Review program online. After much debate from me "because I had never heard of Hurst Review" I signed up, because I figured what did I have to lose. Boy am I glad I listened to my husband and my gut. I studied every day for a month and half reviewing all the videos and material over and over. I took my NCLEX exam on December 20th for the 4th time. I got 79 questions before it shut off. When I walked out of there I felt like my heart was in my stomach, I was so nervous. I came straight home and did the Pearsonvue trick, and I got "THE MESSAGE". 48 Hours later I was able to get my quick review results which confirmed, I PASSED!!! I am so grateful to Hurst Review!!! THANK YOU for giving me back my self confidence :)

I am not on FaceBook, but I wanted to add my expression of gratitude to the other testimonials for the excellent NCLEX-RN preparation that the Hurst Review provided. The lecturers taught the subject matter with great clarity and the Q-reviews sharpened my understanding of the level of application necessary to pass the NCLEX-RN. The online format was perfect for me because I could absorb the information at my own pace. 123 days after graduating with an ADN, I took the NCLEX-RN and passed on the first attempt with 75 questions. Thank you, the Hurst Review was not only a worthwhile investment, but also a blessing!

I have been reluctant to post a raving review about HURST until I officially passed the California NCLEX-RN Exam on my first try!!! I failed HESI 3 times at USF, and only passed the 4th time thanks to HURST. I took both KAPLAN and HURST, but I definitely attribute my passing boards to HURST. Not one question I had on NCLEX this week was answered using that decision tree. I could not agree with you more in saying that you will not learn by incorrectly answering thousands of test questions. It truly is about knowing your content. I feel that your review will assist me in my RN role in my first new grad position, and I am truly indebted. Your instructors are fabulous REAL, & truthful nurses, (accents and all) and I will forever be recommending HURST Review.

Just completed Hurst and passed my NCLEX! I just wanted to thank the program so much. I learned more from Hurst than I learned during my entire 4 years at Madonna University. Every single question on the NCLEX I answered by using my knowledge from Hurst.
Currently, Madonna University uses Kaplan for their review program, but I just emailed the Dean of Nursing to tell her about my positive experiences with the Hurst program. I will make sure to follow up with her as well. I will recommend this program to everyone I know.
Thanks for making it so easy to pass one of the most important tests of my life.

Hi y'all!!! I am so proud to say that I passed the NCLEX the second time around with 75 questions. The first time I took it in January of this year I had 265 questions. My school had paid for Kaplan so of course I did it. Thank goodness they paid for it because I would never recommend that review. It does not matter how many questions you do or that you have test taking strategies, what matters is that you know your core content without hesitation without a doubt. I loved the videos (on-line) they were fun and entertaining too. I will forever be a Hurst advocate. Thank you and God Bless all of you who make Hurst what it is. I can finally call myself an R.N.

Hello, I want to thank everyone who helps put this program together. I had taken the NCLEX RN 4 times before I took this course. I had hired tutors, did multiple books of questions, and had bought multiple programs guaranteed to pass. This course helped open my eyes to what I needed to know and how I needed to know it. As someone who had worked in health care for 12 years before nursing school I had seen a lot of procedures and bad habits. Which makes taking a test with using your prior knowledge kinda hard. This class and study material were excellent in providing what you need to know and what you should know to be a confident and competent nurse. After taking this class I spent another 10 months studying. When I finally felt comfortable I took it and passes on my 5th try. I know this class is a little pricey but it is well worth every penny so you can start you life and career. Again I want to thank everyone who helps put this class and material together. They allowed me to start my career and to support my family.Dustin Hanscom, RN
I just want to be one of many first time passing RN's who have nothing but the best to say about Hurst Review. Our school paid for a HESI review, and while I enjoyed the instructor, I still wasn't feeling prepared for the NCLEX-RN exam. I was hesitant to take another 3 day review course, but thought it best to leave no stone unturned... and it was the best decision I made! This content, if I had learned it before, it refreshed my mind, it kept things to a SIMPLE perspective, and the mindset and humor that the program teaches was just one of many instrumental keys to truly helping me walk into my most important test feeling GOOD, feeling like I did everything I could to PREPARE. I plan to keep my book and printouts as just one more asset in my nursing library. THANK YOU to everyone in this program. For those contemplating this course- do it. I don't think any other test prep/review coursework or book can compare.Sabrina Wetzel, RN
I want to thank everyone at Hurst for a great review! I passed my NCLEX on February 4, 2016 with only 75 questions & under 2 hours! I believe my success was a result of this awesome review. Hurst provided me with everything I needed to successfully prepare myself to take the NCLEX. I studied for 1 month and felt very confident during the entire test. I will also add that a lot of the questions on my exam was based off the material found in Hurst. Thank you so much Hurst, I begin my career as a brand new RN February 22!!!Maribel Valentin, RN
I want to close the loop and say thanks for preparing me for the NCLEX. Academically, I did well in school, but what Hurst Review gave me was a smart, concise review of the basics that I needed to know to pass the test the first time. Maybe because I tend to hyper-focus on details, the Hurst Review brought me back to basics overviews and made me take a step back and reinforce what I had learned. When I sat there with the screen in front of me, I was able to noodle out the concepts and passed in 75 questions.Betsy Mauldin, RN
